Glen Briar Academy!
At Glen Briar Academy, our Greek Language Program is meticulously crafted to spark a passion for the Greek language and culture, enhancing students' appreciation of its significance within our Canadian context.
This program, shaped by experienced educators fluent in Greek, emphasizes skill development in language acquisition, communication, and proficiency. Starting in September 2023, the program expanded to include high school courses that provide credits towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Students are rigorously prepared to achieve success on the Ellinomatheia Proficiency Test, reflecting their mastery of the language.
Moreover, the curriculum is enriched with cultural and historical elements that deepen students' understanding of the Greek heritage and its vibrant presence in our community.
Classes for the upcoming academic year commence on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 for students from PreK to Grade 8, and Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 for high school students.
